F1 | Positive Friday for Toro Rosso

On the first day of free tests of the Hungarian GP, Toro Rosso I performed quite well: 14th and 9th place Carlos Sainz in free practice 1 and 2 and thirteenth place for Kvyat in both sessions.

“Overall, today was a positive day. We had a bit of a slow start in the FP1, because we've been trying to figure out the new parts of the car car, but but this afternoon in the FP2 we managed to move much better after analyzing every single new component of the car, we went much better and put together a much better result than in FP1", commented the Spaniard explaining the reasons behind his entry into the top ten in the free practices 2 on Friday afternoon. Then Carlos continued: “I felt much more comfortable and the car was also a bit faster. So, overall, it was a day where we managed to make good progress and I can't wait for tomorrow to see the qualifying,” he concluded.

Stalemate situation instead for Daniil Kvyat who didn't improve between the first and second sessions: “We weren't really able to put together a fast lap. There is definitely room for improvement and we must try to make great progress to be ready for tomorrow,” commented the Russian, explaining his situation as the opposite of that of his teammate Sainz.
