F1 | Vasseur: “We can't wait to work with Mick Schumacher at the Nurburgring”

A few days before the first free practice on the Nurburgring track, scene of the next Formula 1 Eifel Grand Prix, Frederic Vasseur spoke about the commitment of Mick Schumacher in Alfa Romeo inFP1 on Friday morning, underlining how the entire Italian-Swiss team is looking forward to working together with the current leader of the Formula 2 championship.

Secondo Vasseur, Friday's free practice will allow Michael Schumacher's son to deal with a totally different reality compared to the tests, an aspect that will almost certainly help him grow, also in view of a possible commitment as an official in the 2021 season.

“Mick Schumacher is undoubtedly one of the greatest talents to come from the lower leagues and his recent results are proving it,” said Frederic Vasseur. “He's obviously fast, but he's also very consistent and mature behind the wheel.”

“All hallmarks of a champion in the making. On the occasions in which he collaborated with us, namely last year. In a couple of tests, he particularly impressed us with his approach and his work ethic. For this reason we look forward to working with him again at the Nurburgring."he concluded.
