Valtteri Bottas takes to the Rally. Rest assured, it will only be an appearance before the Formula 1 winter tests. The Mercedes Finn has in fact accepted the invitation to participate in the Arctic Rally which will be held in Lapland, Finland, from 24 to 26 January. Just like Raikkonen, Hakkinen and Rosberg, another Finn will try the world of Rally and will do so with a Ford Fiesta WRC from the M-Sport team, a car similar to the one with which Sebastian Ogier won the last two world championships. Bottas will have Timo Rautiainen as co-driver.
“It will be a totally new world for me – Bottas said – given that I have never experienced a World Rally car. Yet, despite being a driver you always go slow outside of your race car. I thank everyone for the opportunity, it's always nice to race."
