F1 | Official: Verstappen renews with Red Bull until 2020

Now it's official: Max Verstappen renews with Red Bull until 2020. The press release published on the team's website: “The team is pleased to announce that Max Verstappen, who made his debut with the team in 2016, winning his first GP and setting records in Formula 1, has accepted a contract that will see him race in Red Bull for another three years,” reads the note. Thus ends all those rumors that they would have seen Max in Mercedes or Ferrari after 2018.

The Dutchman is very happy with this new one agreement: “In Red Bull they have always shown faith in me. They welcomed me into their program when I was just 16 and allowed me to enter Formula 1 at seventeen and then gave me the chance to race with them and have a dream first race. They have always supported me. Their support, that of all the guys from those in the factory to those in the garage, regardless of the result on the track, has always been 100 percent. We even had some fun moments! I am very happy to further commit myself to Red Bull Racing and look forward to great successes in the future,” she commented shortly after the announcement.

He is a pure driver, with an undeniable talent and a rare instinct. With a very strong work ethic and mature approach, Max is right to be hungry for success and we look forward to this journey with him. As we look ahead with Max, let's work to create a team around him that can give him our support,” he concluded.
