F1 | Official: Turkey replaces Canada

Formula 1 has confirmed the change to the seventh stage of the 2021 world championship calendar: the Turkish Grand Prix will replace the Canadian one. Due to restrictions on international travel, it would be impossible for the Formula 1 circus to enter the Canadian country without a mandatory 14-day quarantine:

“We are grateful for the efforts of the promoter and the Canadian authorities,
Quebec and Montreal in recent weeks for the staging of the Grand Prix and we are pleased to announce the two-year extension of our partnership with the Canadian Grand Prix”, we read in the Formula 1 press release.

“We will work with the promoter to ensure that those who have tickets for the 2020 and 2021 races get the option of a refund or to roll over their tickets to next year's race and we look forward to racing in Canada in 2022”.
