F1 | Official: the Turkish GP takes the place of Singapore

The Turkish Grand Prix will take the place of the Marina Bay event in the world championship calendar, scheduled for October 3rd. Once again Formula 1 had to take action to modify the World Championship affected by the pandemic. The Turkish venue will be the usual Istanbul Park, where last year the Circus returned to racing after nine years of absence.

"We are happy to return to Türkiye at the Istanbul Park circuit. We hope to see another fantastic race again at one of the best tracks in the world – declared the CEO of the Circus Stefano Domenicali – We want to thank the management of Intercity Istanbul Park and Mr. Vural Ak for personal efforts to make this event happen. We have shown that we can continue to adapt and that there is huge interest in our sport and the hope of many locations to have a Grand Prix. We have had great conversations with all the other promoters since the beginning of the year and continue to work closely with them during this period".
