F1 | Official: Hungarian GP behind closed doors

The promoters of the Hungaroring Grand Prix confirmed a short while ago that if the race were to take place (everything will depend on whether we can start the season, ed.), there will be no audience present. The event is scheduled for August 2 and the Hungarian government has banned any demonstration involving more than 500 people, until August 15.

This is the note published a little while ago on the official Formula 1 website:

“The Hungaroring team waited until the end and is still working with the international rights holder, but it has now become clear that we cannot hold the 35th Hungarian Formula 1 Grand Prix, in front of spectators, despite all our efforts. In recent weeks, we have consistently expressed our availability for any solution to host the event again and yesterday it was clear that all this will only be possible behind closed doors. We will continue to work with the international promoter to find the best possible solution."
