F1 | Toro Rosso, a small point for Kvyat in Montreal
Albon forced to retire after a complicated start, complete with an accident
Daniil Kvyat finished tenth in the Canadian Grand Prix. The Russian progressed session after session in this weekend which was not easy at the start for Toro Rosso. Different story for Albon, who at the start was the victim of an accident that caused his wing to break, and in fact ended his race, given that he no longer had the pace to take the important positions.
“It was a good race – Kvyat admitted. I never wanted to cross the finish line out of the points today, it would have been a great shame! In the end I had a good fight with Carlos: I like fighting with him because he's always on the limit. Getting through it was amazing! Today we got the most out of the car, so I'm really very happy with how the race went. Now we continue to work hard to score more points in the next rounds."
"Hard day - Albon said: At the start we suffered damage to the front wing, which practically ended my race. Maybe I could have braked later in the corner and Perez could have chosen a slightly more inside line, but that's the way it is now. After that episode, to be honest, the pace wasn't that competitive. This weekend I struggled a bit in the long runs, so we will have to work to understand the reasons."
