F1 | Toro Rosso, Sainz Jr: “I'm satisfied”

Race full of ups and downs for the Italian team with the Spaniard's eighth place and the retirement of Daniil Kvyat due to an electronic fault.

Sainz he made a risky maneuver to avoid contact with his teammate who had gone wide and upon returning to the track he almost hit the Spaniard:

“A crazy race! It was difficult at the start because when I got to turn 1, I saw Daniil coming back towards the track and I had to quickly avoid him to avoid an accident… it would have been a real disaster for the team! I spun, but it was a sacrifice I had to make. Then, from that moment on I kept calm and recovered from last to eighth position without making any mistakes. I must say that it was difficult to maintain concentration but today I can say that I am satisfied with the final result".

After the mistake at the start of the race, Kvyat he managed to recover up to twelfth position but had to stop the car due to an electronic blackout:

“I watched the race with a sad heart, because there were many opportunities to exploit, everything happened and I would have liked to be there! I'm also disappointed because we could have gotten some good points today. Unfortunately the car turned off and left us stranded. So far, the weekend had been perfect and I had tried to do my best, but when things happen outside of my control, I can't do anything about it. I will continue to fight and work hard; I just need to do my job as always and not let days like this get me down.".
