F1 | Toro Rosso, Sainz: “We will continue to push to prepare for qualifying”

Ninth and thirteenth position for Daniil Kvyat and Carlos Sainz in free practice for the Canadian Grand Prix, seventh round of the 2017 Formula One World Championship. The Spaniard made up for the time lost during the morning session, accumulating as many kilometers as possible aboard the STR12. Dannik Kvyat also did well, putting in a top ten performance.

Here are the words of Daniil Kvyat: “I'm happy because today we managed to complete many useful laps from which we will try to learn something more, so as to make further steps forward in view of tomorrow. Overall, I think both sessions today were favorable for us and hopefully tomorrow we can capitalize on that."

Here are Carlos Sainz's impressions: “In Free Practice 2 we worked to make up the time that we unfortunately lost in the first session: obviously, this is not the ideal track to do so, so we needed a lot of laps this afternoon. We will do the same in tomorrow's FP3, because one session alone is not enough to fully recover. Now we will continue to push and prepare for tomorrow."
