F1 | Toro Rosso, Kvyat: "It's a shame about the misunderstanding in the pits, I could have finished seventh"

Positive race for Toro Rosso, despite a few too many problems during the pit stops. Kvyat finished in ninth position, while Albon, after a good fight with Grosjean, had to settle for eleventh place, but both drivers demonstrated good race pace, with a car that was constantly improving one Sunday after the other.

“There were some exciting moments today, but unfortunately we compromised our race in the pit lane, because my tires weren't ready – Kvyat said. It was a last minute pit call, these things can happen in complicated situations, but I'm sure we learned something from this episode. I think today we could have finished in seventh place, I was there before the problem in the pits. We still managed to get a couple of points, which is always useful. The performance of the car is improving and I feel more and more comfortable with the car. I'm sure we can have some satisfaction soon."

“It was disappointing to come so close to the points and not get any in the end, but the duel with Romain was a lot of fun – Albon admitted. I had to give up, because at one point I thought I might have an accident when we both decided to go right at the same time. I had to brake and lost momentum in Turn 1. We lost a lot at the pit stop, so now we have to understand what happened, because we should have had two cars in the top ten. It's frustrating, but I'm still satisfied with my performance and I'm excited to try to score points in Monte Carlo."
