F1 | Toro Rosso-Honda, Tanabe: “In Barcelona ideal conditions as in the race”

Toyoharu Tanabe, Honda F1 Technical Director, commented on the first day of returning to the track in Barcelona and the test with Toro Rosso at Montmelò: “The first day of the second pre-season test began in Barcelona under a blue sky and temperatures much warmer than those of the last week. It means that the conditions on the track were much closer to those we will experience during the races,” he immediately began.

Tanabe then specified: “Last week we focused on data acquisition and system checks and, from today, our program is more focused on the race. Unfortunately, we lost some time on the track, stopping in the afternoon due to a car problem. Identifying problems like this is what we need to do during testing and we will do everything we can to recover as much as possible,” he concluded.
