F1 | Toro Rosso: Gasly, “It wasn't a great start to the season for me”

Complicated race for the Italian team with the withdrawal of Pierre Gasly and the 15th place of Brendon Hartley. These are their statements:

Pierre Gasly: “It wasn't a great start to the season for me. After turn 12 the engine stopped and then turned back on again, but I was very slow and couldn't engage in high gears. I tried to return to the pits, but was told to stop. It's a real shame, especially after nothing went wrong in the tests. I think everyone in the team is disappointed with this problem in the first race, but we need to look at the positive things and learn from the negative aspects to come back stronger in Bahrain.".

Brendon Hartley: “It wasn't a great race for me today. At the start, at Turn 1, I locked the brakes and flattened the tires, so I had no choice but to pit, because it was probably the biggest flat spot I've ever had. Then, in the second stint, I had a puncture, so from then on there was nothing more to do. I think I also had damage in the back, so I found myself running alone the whole time. We knew it would be difficult to get into the points today.".
