F1 | Toro Rosso, Gasly and Hartley confirmed for 2018

Toro Rosso has announced that Pierre Gasly and Brendon Hartley will form the line-up of the Faenza team again next season.

The next world championship event, scheduled in Abu Dhabi from 24 to 26 November which will close the 2017 World Championship, will see Gasly take to the track aboard the STR12 for the fifth time in this championship; one more than teammate new Zealander.

"We are really happy to have Pierre and Brendon on our team again in 2018 – commented Franz Tost, Toro Rosso team principal – During this last part of the year they have shown that they are ready for Formula 1. We are looking forward to having a full year with them, hoping to provide them with a good package. I'm sure they will continue to achieve good results".

"I am very happy to be in Toro Rosso again in 2018 – said Gasly – I would like to thank everyone who helped me to be here: Red Bull, Toro Rosso, my family and those who supported me in the lower series. I can't wait to give my all in Abu Dhabi and next season".

"I'm really happy that I took advantage of the chances I had so far to get a seat for the next one season – said Hartley – I thank Red Bull and Toro Rosso for believing in me and for giving me this second chance: dreams can come true. Now I will continue to work harder than ever to finish this season on a high and start the new year as strong as possible".
