F1 | Toro Rosso, Franz Tost: “Gasly didn't have a good race pace”

Toro Rosso did not score a single point in the Brazilian Grand Prix. The Faenza team, fitting the latest specification Honda engine, hoped to get much more from the Brazilian weekend, finally having no grid penalties after a long time. Franz Tost, Toro Rosso team principal, is dissatisfied.

“Pierre started ninth and finished thirteenth, not a satisfactory result for us – Tost said. We didn't have good race pace, we were simply too slow and we need to understand why. Brendon started from sixteenth position, on the Medium tyres, and we extended his first stint before pitting him to switch to the SuperSofts - it was a good move as he managed to improve his pace towards the end of the race. Unfortunately, however, we weren't able to score today."
