F1 | Toro Rosso, Alexander Albon joins the list of favorites for 2019

Alexander Albon would be a new contender for the Toro Rosso seat for next season. According to what was reported by Auto Bild, in fact, the 22-year-old Englishman seems to have entered Helmut Marko's good graces with a view to 2019, with Brendon Hartley increasingly certain of leaving the Faenza team at the end of this season.

The New Zealander's performances would not be meeting the Austrian Manager's expectations, especially in terms of points finishes (the Suzuka race is emblematic), and Red Bull, precisely in this sense, would be evaluating alternatives to be supported by Daniil Kvyat.

Albon, we remember, achieved four successes during this year in Formula 2, confirming himself as an extremely interesting driver from a future perspective. So his name seems to have returned within the Red Bull orbit, with the latter on the hunt for interesting talents after the cuts of recent seasons.

It should be noted that the list of suitors, however, would also contain Dan Ticktum, blocked however by the failure to issue the super license (the matter could continue until January) and Pascal Wehrlein, with the latter appearing to be the ideal profile for 2019.

We will see in the coming weeks how this interesting market plot will develop.
