F1 Test | Williams, Latifi: “Happy with these two days”
The Russian driver finished ninth overall
Nicholas Latifi concluded the second and final day of testing on the Barcelona circuit with the ninth fastest time. The Williams reserve driver completed 50 laps. His next commitment in Formula 1 will be at the Canadian Grand Prix, when he will take part in the first free practices:
“This day was more interesting than yesterday. I got to try some of the softer tyres, I used C3, C4 and C5 and it was fun to push a bit more. I tried some new development items that were ported to the machine. Generally in Formula 2 we make few changes to the balance, here it was a question of using something completely new. It was interesting to see how this affected the car and I was able to give feedback to the team."
"Unfortunately, we had an issue that cost us a couple of runs at the end of the morning and delayed our afternoon session by a few hours. However, we were able to return and do some runs with a full tank of fuel, which was very helpful in my experience. Overall, I'm happy with the two days of testing and I'm looking forward to my next outing with the team at the Canadian Grand Prix.".
