F1 Test | Racing Point, Perez: “It would be nice to start the season by scoring points”

Racing Point completed its eight days of testing by significantly accelerating its work program during the second week. After a not exactly exciting first part and with just a few laps under their belt, the Anglo/Canadian team covered a lot of kilometres. Even today Perez slightly surpassed the laps done yesterday by Stroll, completing 104 laps for a total of 484 km. The machine has certainly grown, but the experts have put a big question mark on the performance of the RP19, which has not convinced most.

“It was a positive day – Perez said. We have worked a lot and I think we have a good idea on the car. Today was dedicated to long runs: every time we hit the track we learn more and more and I feel ready for the season that is about to begin. It's been a long winter and I'm extremely motivated, I can't wait to compete. Starting the season with points would be positive, but it will be a long championship, so we have to go to Melbourne and be careful about the comparison with the other teams."
