F1 | Pirelli test, Kubica: “We want to collect data and information”

Among the drivers who took to the track in Barcelona for the two days of Pirelli testing with the 18-inch tyres, the tires that will debut in Formula One starting next season, Robert Kubica was also present. The Pole, Alfa Romeo's reserve and development driver, spoke about the changes adopted on the mule cars to make them similar to future single-seaters.

"The first thing that needs to be adapted are the aerodynamic parts under the car, because these tires (the 18 inch ones, ed.) they lift the car significantly – declared Kubica, interviewed by Przeglad Sportowy – We want to use these tests to gather data and information on a key aspect of next year's rules".

Also in Barcelona, ​​during the first free practice session of the Spanish GP, Kubica was on track in place of Kimi Raikkonen: “It was a strange feeling getting back in the car, but overall it's still nice. But after such a long break, you feel like a newbie. Spinning was my first big mistake in an Alfa Romeo but it can always happen, especially if you rarely drive the car".
