F1 | Pirelli test, Alpine on track with Ocon
The Frenchman completed 100 rounds. Tomorrow it's Alonso's turn
Second day of Pirelli testing on the Sakhir track where Alpine took to the track with Esteban Ocon. The French, which took the place of the Ferrari duo Leclerc-Sainz engaged in these private tests yesterday, concluded his work program with the 18" tires (the new tires from the Milanese tire company which will officially debut in Formula One next year) completing 100 laps.
"It was a very interesting day and the first time I tried the 18 inch tyres – declared Ocon at the end of the test – The one from Bahrain it is one of the best circuits to try because it is demanding on the tyres. It was nice to understand the differences between 13-inch and 18-inch tires. Some things are positive, then there are some things to work on, but overall it was pretty good".
Tomorrow it will be Fernando Alonso's turn. The Spaniard will close this three-day Pirelli test on the Sakhir track.
