F1 Test | Haas, Magnussen: “Very good impressions, the VF-19 has proven consistent”
The Dane analyzes the second day of testing in Barcelona
As expected, the second day of testing in Barcelona was successful Kevin Magnussen get on board the Haas. The Danish driver concluded day 2 in third position, with a time of 1:19.206, completing 59 laps; a problem adapting to the seat, however, forced the former Renault to suspend operations slightly earlier than its colleagues. His place in the last half hour of the afternoon was taken by test driver Pietro Fittipaldi, who put together thirteen laps, placing himself in last place (1:21.849).
"First impressions of the VF-19 were very good" – declared Magnussen at the end of the day. “The car seems to handle well, it has proven to be consistent. To begin with I certainly have good feelings. Obviously there is a lot more work to do when it comes to the details, but at this point there are no worries.".
Tomorrow, Wednesday 20 February, Fittipaldi will take to the track in the morning, while in the afternoon it will be Grosjean's turn.
