F1 | Stroll: “Our target is victory”

This is the goal of Racing Point owner Lawrence Stroll, who admitted that purchasing the team last year was just the first step:

“First we wanted to restore financial stability and give the engineers the means to develop the car -the Canadian billionaire told La Presse- now our goal is to fight in the middle of the grid and aim for fourth place in the constructors' championship. But in the future, we want to become one of the best teams in the paddock and fight for victories." 

Stroll knew that 2019 would be a difficult year for Racing Point:

“The team certainly didn't have all the funds needed to prepare the car this year, so we knew the first races would be difficult. But we will try to make the changes faster than the other teams, maybe not as fast as the top teams, but as fast as possible."
