F1 | Stroll: “The latest results have not improved things”
The Canadian achieved his first podium in Baku
The young rookie of Williams, admitted that the recent good results obtained have not reduced the pressure for this season.
The former champion of formula 3, made his debut this year as a rookie and initially struggled a lot, arousing criticism from fans and the media, who have repeatedly labeled him as "recommended". The turning point comes in the grand prix of Baku, where the Canadian achieved third place:
“I didn't come to Formula 1 just for the money - commented Stroll a FormulaSpy.com - I was the youngest driver to win in the history of Formula 3. It's easy to judge from the outside but the people who are really close to me have never doubted what I'm capable of doing and we proved it.".
The rookie added, however, that the points from the races in Canada and Azerbaijan did not make his life any easier: “I knew I could achieve these results, so I didn't have any particular worries but F1 is never easy, it's always demanding”.
