F1 | Stewart: “We will have to wait a year before evaluating Stroll”

Criticism of the young man continues Lance stroll, but there is no shortage of more or less important personalities who are defending him from the heavy barrage that has been going on since the beginning of the season.

The story is well-known, with the Williams driver criticized for his bad performances on the track and for an undeserving career in Formula 1, favored by his father's great availability of money.

The last one to defend Stroll's good name was one of the most important legends in the racing world, Sir Jackie Stewart: “He is treated unfairly – he told the Journal de Montreal – like every new rider we have to give him time since he is very young and there is still a lot to learn. He will need at least a year to familiarize himself with the car and the circuits”.

F1 is the pinnacle of motor racing and it takes time before you can compete against the best. However, he has shown that he has the talent to achieve success."

According to Stewart the team Williams it could be the right environment for Stroll's talent to explode: "It's a good environment, a good team that has produced great riders in the past."

Il Canada, the next scheduled race and home GP for Stroll too, will be a very important test for him, also from an emotional point of view: “Canada needs another Villeneuve” – concluded Stewart.
