F1 | Steiner: “Hamilton would end up in the Vatican if he were to win with Ferrari”

In a few months one of the most anticipated weddings in the history of the Formula 1, that is, the one between Lewis Hamilton , Ferrari. The seven-time world champion, after a life spent as a pilot Mercedes, before in McLaren and then with the main team, it totally changes the scenario going into the Cavallino stable with one goal, to bring the title back to Maranello. No mean feat given the last 15 years of cosmic nothingness, but certainly one more reason to follow the next season, which will be gripping, at least on paper. Guenther Steiner, former head of the wall Haas and now TV commentator, spoke to Beyond The Grid about the issue, also hoping for a move in Vatican for English should he win.

“I think Lewis wants to accomplish a real feat: to bring Ferrari back to winning championships – Steiner said. This goal gives him enormous motivation. I haven’t spoken to him directly about it, but it’s clear that this is his drive. After winning seven world titles, what more could he do? If he could win a championship with Ferrari, he would become a legend and end up in the Vatican.”

“Ferrari without Formula 1 would not be Ferrari, and Formula 1 without Ferrari would lose much of its charm, it would no longer be Formula 1. This is the magic of the Prancing Horse, to be part of this history, as a driver, is a unique opportunity. Lewis has a great relationship with Fred Vasseur, and the two of them have known each other well for a long time, having already won together in the lower categories. They are in perfect harmony and share the same goal: to achieve a great result. If they could achieve it, it would be extraordinary for both of them.”
