With the 2017 Formula One season being archived, Felipe Massa's adventure in the Circus also ended.

The Brazilian, after an initial farewell at the end of 2016 which then led to a sensational return to Williams last winter to replace former teammate Valtteri Bottas who moved to Mercedes, ended his experience (this time definitive) in top-class with a record of 11 victories, 41 podiums and 16 pole positions.

The team where he achieved the best results of his career was clearly Ferrari. Aboard the Red, Massa achieved his first career victory, achieved in the summer of 2006 on the Istanbul track. With the Cavallino single-seater he also won the Brazilian GP on two occasions, held on his home track of Interlagos.

The triumph achieved in 2008 was mocking, the edition in which he crossed the finish line as world champion only to then have to chew bitterly for the now famous overtaking by Lewis Hamilton against Timo Glock's Toyota which decreed the world championship victory of the Englishman (at the time in McLaren-Mercedes) precisely to the detriment of the Brazilian.

In 2013, after his experience at Ferrari, where he was no longer able to perform at the highest levels after the accident that saw him as an unfortunate protagonist at the Hungaroring in 2009, Massa moved to Williams where he played his last four seasons in Formula One. With the Grove team he achieved a few podiums, in addition to his last pole achieved on the Austrian Zeltweg track in 2014.
