F1 | Sprint Race, Todt: “I'm pleased that Formula 1 is looking for new ways to interact with its fans”

Today gave birth to white smoke regarding the Sprint Race which, in three events not yet made official, will replace the normal qualifying sessions which will outline the starting grid of the race. Jean Todt expressed his satisfaction following the agreement signed by the FIA, F1 and the team which will bring a particular innovation this season.

"I am pleased to see that Formula 1 is looking for new ways to interact with its fans and extend the spectacle of a race weekend through the concept of sprint qualifying – declared the number one of the Federation – It was possible thanks to the continuous collaboration between the FIA, Formula 1 and all the teams. F1 is proving to be stronger than ever with all stakeholders working together in this way and much has been done to ensure that the sporting, technical and financial aspects of the format are fair".
