Rupert Murdoch's broadcaster wants to raise its level in view of the next World Cup

F1 | Sky and Canal Plus ready for 4K broadcast

Sky could celebrate the exclusive purchase of the rights linked to Formula One with the 4K broadcast of the next world championship. According to what various sources report, in fact, Rupert Murdoch's broadcaster is ready to broadcast in Ultra HD also in Italy, expanding the offer available to pay TV subscribers.

At the moment, Sky broadcasts the Formula One Grands Prix in Full HD, but the intention would be to bring the broadcast to 3840x2160, significantly raising the level of detail definition. If the official announcement is still awaited in Italy, in France the situation is significantly different: Canal Plus has already defined all the agreements with Liberty Media and is preparing to follow the same path taken by Sky in Italy.

All the Grands Prix will be broadcast live on pay TV in 4K (confirmed by the broadcaster itself. Ed.), while only four events will be broadcast free-to-air by TF1. We just have to wait for the official announcement from Sky to find out what news Murdoch's TV will have in store for all its customers.
