F1 | Nice little scene between Arrivabene and Staffelli in Maranello: a "mega" Golden Tapiro delivered to Ferrari
Award presented this morning in front of the Sports Management entrance
Sebastian Vettel's retirement in the last Japanese Grand Prix allowed Scuderia Ferrri to earn a "Golden Tapiro", a famous award that the satirical program "Striscia la Notizia" awards in case of "funny" misfortunes. This morning, around 12.00, Valerio Staffelli went to the exit of the Gestion Sportiva in Maranello with a huge Tapiro, assigned in this case to Maurizio Arrivabene. The Tapir, unlike other times, was transported in a van due to its enormous size.
Arrivabene, obviously, played along with Staffelli, accepting the award with a smile. The last few weeks have been quite eventful within the Maranello factory and this award will certainly be accepted with a smile by all the men who work at GES, whose commitment has never been questioned by Sergio Marchionne. Ferrari, we remember, gained more than a second from Mercedes in just a few months and this was possible thanks to the commitment of the people who worked day and night on the SF70-H.
It should be noted that Staffelli, in addition to the Tapiro, also gave Arrivabene a candle. We just have to wait this evening to see the complete report which will be broadcast on Striscia la Notizia (20.45pm).
