F1 | Seidl and the wait for the "real" Ricciardo: "It takes time to find the limit"

Andreas Seidl has no doubt that Daniel Ricciardo, sooner or later, will train for Lando Norris' performances. According to the German Manager, the Australian has accumulated very few kilometers at the wheel of the new MCL35M, an aspect which obviously penalized him in the direct comparison with his teammate, who can count on the team experience gained in the last two years. Once the feeling has been found, however, the former Renault player will be able to push the technical package at his disposal to the maximum, thus giving performances in line with the expectations of the press, fans and management.

“We know that it's not easy to move from one car to another,” explained the McLaren Team Principal. “Everything is obviously made more complicated by the fact that we only shot for three days in the pre-season. This is a difficulty that several other riders in the field are facing. They are all very talented and have a lot of experience. They adapt very quickly, but these are complex cars and to find the last two, three or four tenths is not simple. It takes time and you need to be confident in order to push it to the maximum."
