With the third place obtained in the last race of the 2017 season, held in Abu Dhabi last 26 November on the Yas Marina track, which ended with his Ferrari SF70-H number 5 behind the Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel achieved the ninety-ninth podium of his career.

The German, going through the album of memories, achieved his first podium in Monza in the 2008 edition of the Italian Grand Prix. A historic race for Vettel, held in prohibitive weather conditions, in which he also achieved his first victory at the wheel of Toro Rosso, thus giving the Faenza team what to date has remained the only success in the Circus.

In the ranking all time of the podiums, Vettel is in fourth place ahead of Fernando Alonso (97) and Kimi Raikkonen (91). The Ferrari standard bearer is preceded by Top Three composed of Alain Prost (106), Lewis Hamilton (117) and Michael Schumacher (155).

The appointment for Vettel is therefore for next March 25th when in Melbourne, on the semi-city track of Albert Park, the traffic lights will go out for the first round (of the 21 scheduled) of the 2018 World Championship. On that occasion, in fact, the four-time world champion with Ferrari he will try to get the 100th podium of his career.
