F1 | Sauber, Wehrlein in the balance for 2018: Leclerc and Giovinazzi ready

Despite the excellent performances at the start of the season, Pascal Wehrlein could lose his seat in Sauber in 2018. According to the German newspaper Bild, Wehrlein would be the chosen one to say goodbye to the Swiss Scuderia given the recent partnership with Ferrari which will lead to inside team one between Antnio Giovinazzi and Charles Leclerc. Marcus Ericsson's sponsors, in fact, allow the Swedish driver to keep his place within the team, effectively pushing the German out. For his part, Wehrlein underlined how he is doing his utmost to safeguard his seat, pushing and trying to give as many points as possible to the Swiss team. For now, despite the difficulties linked to an inadequate vehicle, the German has won all five points scored by Sauber during this 2017 world championship.

Here are the words of Pascal Wehrlein: “I scored all five points. In qualifying we are eight to de for me, honestly I don't know what else to do to save my seat. What more could I do?”.
