F1 | Sauber, Ericsson: “Quite productive day, good improvements in FP2”
Wehrlein: "Second session more relevant for track conditions; we collected a lot of data"
Intense day of work for Clean in Abu Dhabi. Marcus Ericsson, 18th and 19th respectively in today's two sessions, commented on the Yas Marina free practice as follows: “It was quite a productive day. We completed a good number of laps with different amounts of fuel and with different tire compounds: we were able to collect a lot of interesting data. FP1 wasn't great for me, I had some feeling problems. In FP2 we made some changes and the situation improved. This progress is quite promising for the rest of the weekend: we will continue to work on the basis of the second free practices.".
He did better than his partner pascal wehrlein, 16th in FP1 and 17th in FP2: “Today's session was decent” – began the German. “I managed to do a good number of laps, which is positive. The second session was more relevant from a qualifying and race perspective, as the track conditions tomorrow and Sunday will be similar. All in all, it was a productive day. We have collected a lot of data: we will analyze them to improve performance over the rest of the weekend”.
