F1 | Sauber, Ericsson: “2018? Without a contract I'm not well"

The nightmare of being left out of the next Formula 1 World Championship has been tormenting me for several months Marcus Ericsson. The Swedish driver, with a view to 2018, does not seem to be part of the company's plans Clean which, thanks to the partnership with Ferrari, could bet everything on Charles Leclerc and Antonio Giovanazzi, young talents owned by the Rossa. The 27-year-old former Catheram spoke about his "uncomfortable" position as an outgoing driver: "When you don't have a signed contract in Formula 1, you can't feel good" – Ericsson admitted. “For me the important thing is to push hard in the last races and show that I can stay on the grid next year”.

Ericsson, who has been with Sauber for three seasons, has not been able to count on a competitive C36 this year and it is enough to look at the score to realize this: seventeen races, no points collected. The few seasonal joys of the Hinwil team bear the signature of pascal wehrlein who, by virtue of 8th place in Spain and 10th in Azerbaijan, scored five points.
