F1 | Sainz: “Renault wants to continue to focus on me”

The Spanish driver admitted that he still wants to continue racing with the French team, despite the possibility that he will return home Red Bull for the 2019. Hypothesis already taken into consideration by Cyril Abiteboul, who recently stated that they are studying a plan B, just in case Carlos Sainz were to leave Renault.

However, the Spaniard wants to stay in the French team:

“Renault has faith in me and wants me to do my best. Being on a world champion team is an honor and a privilege, and it's something I want to continue for a long time. Everything is going well".

At the moment, however, Sainz seems to be in difficulty compared to his teammate, Nico Hulkenberg. Regardless, Renault has stated that they will continue to support it:

“Everyone says that this will be my year of consecration, but I don't see it that way. For me it's another year of Formula 1, where I want to give my all. We are both happy and Renault seems to want to continue to focus on me. But now is not the time to talk about 2019, only four races have passed.".
