F1 | Sainz in Ferrari, Binotto: “Ideal profile for our family”

In published media this morning from Scuderia Ferrari, Mattia Binotto commented on the arrival in Maranello of Carlos Sainz, the driver who will join Charles Leclerc starting from the 2021 Formula 1 season, underlining how the Spaniard has all the cards in order to be able to do well with the colors of the Maranello team.

After the excellent results achieved in McLaren (a podium and a sixth place in the world rankings reserved for drivers), Sainz he will have the opportunity to compete with a top-level structure, an aspect that will obviously allow him to raise the bar and fight for victories and podiums.

“I am happy to be able to announce that Carlos will join Scuderia Ferrari starting from the 2021 season,” declared Mattia Binotto. “With already five championships behind him, he has demonstrated that he possesses great talent and has highlighted the technical and character skills that make him the ideal profile to be part of our family”.

“We have started a new cycle whose ultimate objective is to return to the top of Formula 1,” continued the Red Team Principal. “It will be a long journey and not without difficulties, especially in the context of an economic and regulatory framework that is changing rapidly and which requires us to face this challenge in a different way compared to the recent past”.
