Interviewed by the British press, George Russell promoted the on-track behavior of the new FW43, the car with which Williams will face the next 2020 Formula 1 world championship.

At the end of the three days of testing at Montmelò, the Englishman managed to collect numerous data for development, also obtaining some very interesting chronometric feedback, especially on the race pace.

A positive situation, profoundly different compared to last season, which gives the English team hope ahead of Melbourne. Russell and Latifi, precisely in this sense, could compete for positions close to the points zone.

“The differences between this year's car and last season's are evident,” declared the English driver at the end of the three days of testing in Spain. “The FW43 looks more like a Formula 1 car. The team did a good job over the winter and we already know that in 2020 we will be much closer to the competition than last season.”

“Generally speaking, I would say that the Grand Prix in Melbourne will be the moment in which we will understand the real values on the field,” concluded the Williams Englishman.
