F1 | Russell excited for Le Castellet: “I can't wait to race”
Latifi: "Excited to race on that track again"
George Russell and Nicholas Latifi looking for their first points of the season in the next French Grand Prix, the eighth round of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. After the bitter weekend in Baku, the English team will try to exploit the technical characteristics of the Le Castellet to "hook up" Haas and Alfa Romeo in the constructors' world championship. At the moment, remember, Russell and Latifi have not managed to score a single point.
“I can't wait to get back to racing,” said Williams' Englishman. “Paul Ricard is a very difficult track, with a different type of corners. Number 11 is the most physically demanding, both for the driver and the car, and it is a joy to be able to drive it with the Formula 1s. I can't wait to tackle three races in a row. We will start from France, then move to Austria. The season is starting to heat up."
Here are Nicholas Latifi's assessments: “I'm excited to return to racing in Le Castellet again, especially after the feeling I managed to create with the races in Monaco and Baku. From a performance point of view, we will certainly try to confirm the momentum of recent weeks. Personally, I'm curious to see how the single-seater will behave on a more conventional circuit. It will be the first round of a hat-trick, which is why we will try to set up a good series of results."
