Ross Brown, in his new role as managing director of Liberty Media, he is convinced he can improve the formula 1 with the new ownership, but that the process will be very long and difficult. On the other hand, it is not easy to revolutionize something that has remained the same for many years, it takes time and sacrifices are needed to truly change: “There are some simple problems that we know about, but the solutions will take some time. Liberty will focus on making the show as good as it can be, like entertainment and sports. Every decision that is made will be like checking a box: will it make it better? Or more fun? Or cheaper? The message is that we are fighting to make this sport fun, affordable and sustainable for the future. I hope that with the continued pressure we can apply we can take the sport to a better place. What's new in 2017? The teams I spoke with seemed very positive and optimistic about the future, and this is encouraging.", the former team principal told the BBC.
