F1 | Rosberg on Verstappen: “He doesn't learn from mistakes”

Speaking to RTL, Nico Rosberg spoke about the situation linked to Max Verstappen, underlining how the Dutchman, despite the team's push, never manages to learn from his mistakes. Max, we remember, threw away a possible victory in the Principality by crashing into the barriers during FP3.

The damage to the car prevented him from taking part in qualifying, thus forcing him to start from last place. A real shame for a driver who, during Thursday, seemed even faster than Daniel Ricciardo. According to Rosberg, Verstappen must learn to analyze his own imperfections, avoiding unnecessary risks that only lead to important defections in terms of points. Furthermore, he can no longer hide behind his lack of experience behind the wheel, given that four years have now passed since his debut in Toro Rosso.

Sometimes I wonder if Max has too much confidence in himself and if it is precisely this factor that leads him to make these mistakes. “We also cannot label him as a young man. He is in his fourth year in Formula 1 and certain mistakes are no longer contemplated. He is a young driver, yes, but also an experienced one. It's a very dark moment and, at least for now, everything is going badly for him."he concluded.
