In an interview granted to motorsport.com, Daniel Ricciardo he told of an "inconclusive" swab test between Tuscan Grand Prix and Russia, highlighting how the problem has sent not only his entire staff into panic, but also the entire company Renault.

Despite the total absence of symptoms, the Australian had to take the test again with the fear of being positive for Coronavirus and therefore not being able to leave for Sochi. A chaotic situation, but which fortunately ended in nothing, given that the second test on the current driver of the McLaren gave a negative result and allowed him to fly onto the banks of the Black Sea for the world round.

“I woke up one morning at six with an inconclusive test and I had to take the swab again,” revealed Daniel Ricciardo. “It wasn't fun and there was a bit of panic too. In the end I was fine, but I experienced a situation I had never been in before. Then, not knowing the outcome, you start to think you're not well. To have something and to be really positive."
