F1 | Ricciardo confident for the future: "I feel that things at Renault will improve" [VIDEO]
The 29-year-old Australian: "Austin's punch to the wall? Better to hit a wall than someone's head..."
Intercepted in Mexico on the microphones of sky sports f1, Daniel Ricciardo touched on some of the personally hottest topics of the moment. The Red Bull driver, first of all, returned to the punch with which he broke through a wall last weekend following yet another retirement in Austin: "I liked it" – the 29-year-old Australian replied with his usual smile. “After so many times keeping this frustration inside is impossible. Better to hit a wall or a door than someone's head.".
Ricciardo then focused on any difficulties he will encounter in 2019 at Renault, an engine manufacturer whose reliability of the power unit this season has left something to be desired: “For me, every situation would have been difficult, both Renault and staying here with Honda would have been another risk” - has explained. “For me the most important thing now is to make a change, to enter a different environment. At Renault there is still a lot of work to do, but I have a lot of confidence that we can find answers. Something inside me says we will continue to improve".
