F1 | Renault, Sainz: “I'm quite satisfied with the car, but we can improve”

Renault close to the top ten on Friday free practice for the French Grand Prix. Self Carlos Sainz over the two sessions he was more constant, Nico Hulkenberg's parable, in terms of positions, grew significantly from FP1 to FP2. These are the words released by the drivers of the Enstone team at the end of the working day at Paul Ricard.

NICO HULKENBERG
FP1: 18th, 1:34.993 (+2.762) – 24 laps
FP2: 11th, 1:35.067 (+2.528) – 30 laps
“It was a productive day for us. It was fun pounding out laps in the sun. We made good progress with the car, although we had to deal with an 'indecisive' wind that changed its direction between the two sessions. It's nice to drive on this track, sometimes we saw some drivers racing beyond the limit. We learned a lot and there will be more to come for us tomorrow.".

Carlos Sainz
FP1: 11th, 1:34.258 (+2.027) – 25 laps
FP2: 12th, 1:35.086 (+2.547) – 33 laps
“It was nice to race in a Formula 1 car on this circuit where I have already driven in the past. Sometimes it seems like there is a lot of traffic, but still we were able to complete a good program and make some progress during the day. I'm quite happy with the car, but we know we can improve further ahead of tomorrow. It was great to see all the yellow in the crowd and I can't wait to see even more over the next couple of days.".
