F1 | Renault, Palmer: “We will take a big step forward next season”

Having returned to Formula One as a constructor team last season, taking over Lotus, Renault suffered quite a few difficulties on the track which forced it - in most cases - to fight for the less noble positions on the grid. The music could change next season, as the transalpine team should count on more substantial technical investments.

“I think we will make a big step forward in 2017 – ha declared Jolyon Palmer – I hope that next season we will be the team that has improved the most in performance."

Palmer also took stock of his 2016, which represented his debut season in Formula One: “I had a difficult first year in F1 – admission of the British, who only scored points in the Malaysian GP -  L'Being patient and confident paid off for me in the second half of the championship. I hope I can achieve important results next season".
