F1 | Renault, Ocon: “Fantastic car, qualifying well managed by the team”

Renault's beautiful day was completed by the excellent result of Esteban Ocon, who placed himself behind Ricciardo by just two thousandths in qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix. The French team will therefore attack Racing Point for the beautiful fight in the constructors' championship, taking advantage of Stroll's bad performance and with only Perez on the third row.

“The car was fantastic, I'm very happy with qualifying – Ocon said. In Q3 I did a good lap, and only two thousandths separated me from Daniel. Overall it was a good session, managed very well by the team. We managed to qualify for the top ten on the medium tyres, using only one set of softs in Q1. Great to have the two cars so high, but it's not over yet! We know that the race will be characterized by tire degradation, so we will have to fight hard to get as many points."
