F1 | Renault, Ocon: “The car has performed well since Q1”

Esteban Ocon qualified in seventh position at the Nurburgring. The Renault driver will therefore start from the fourth row next to Lando Norris in the Eifel Grand Prix. The Frenchman was beaten by Ricciardo, his teammate by just 19 thousandths, nothing, a sign however that the RS20 confirms itself as a good car, but also that on some days the driver may be able to annoy the Australian.

“It was a good qualifying for us, especially after just one free practice session – Ocon said. I'm happy with seventh place, also given my limited knowledge of the track as I didn't drive yesterday. The car has performed very well since Q1, I'm satisfied! Tomorrow we'll take a leap of faith, because I only used the soft tires today, both in free practice and in qualifying. We'll see how the tires behave in the race and how long they last. We are in a good position to score several points in the championship tomorrow."
