F1 | Renault, Nico Hulkenberg's last act in Abu Dhabi

It will be a weekend full of emotions for Renault, which is preparing to say goodbye to Nico Hulkenberg, who has now reached what seems to be his last race in Formula 1.

The German has not been able to find, to date, a seat for next year; in his place, starting from the end-of-season tests next week, will be the Frenchman Esteban Ocon, the third driver of the Mercedes team this year.

"They were three memorable years for me in Renault – said Nico, just before the grand prix on the Yas Marina circuit – there were ups and downs, but I had a good time here. We had great results and some 'almost' great results, which I will remember for a long time“. The German, in fact, almost came close to the podium during the German Grand Prix this year.

"I would like to thank all team members, including my engineers and mechanics, for all their efforts over the last 61 races. We still have one more to do and we will give our all to ensure the best possible result".

Always focused, however, Daniel Ricciardo, who does not lose sight of the objective: the points zone.

"It's always a special weekend, the one in Abu Dhabi, being the last race of the season. It would be nice to continue, until the end, on the same wave we were on in the last part of the season and secure another milestone. Abu Dhabi has always been a pretty good track for me and it's a fun race, so I'm really looking forward to getting out there and finishing the season on a high. We have a bit of pressure on us for fifth place in the constructors' championship, but it means we have something to fight for and I like that feeling.".
