F1 | Renault interested in Bottas?

The indiscretion comes from a German source

F1 | Renault interested in Bottas?

After the announcement of Daniel Ricciardo at McLaren, the French team must look for a replacement for 2021. Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso they could be candidates for the seat at Renault but few believe that both are interested in competing in a car that will not allow them to win.

The French team could opt for the return of Nico Hulkenberg, even if disagreements arose last year, with Alain Prost having complained about the German's negative attitude.

According to the latest news coming from Germany, in particular from the Motorsport-Total website, it seems that Cyril Abiteboul has started talking to Valtteri Bottas' manager, Didier Coton.

The contracts of the Mercedes drivers will expire at the end of the season and while on the one hand the renewal of Lewis Hamilton seems certain (who would have asked for a raise, around 60 million per season, ed.), the fate of Bottas seems more uncertain.

However, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff, interviewed by NTV, reiterated that, to respect the team's values, including loyalty, the priority is to confirm the current drivers.
