F1 | Renault, Hulkenberg: “I'm pleasantly surprised”
Thirteenth place for Joyon Palmer
The German driver closed the grand prix of Hot Tub with an excellent sixth place; thirteenth time for his teammate, Joyon Palmer.
Despite a bad start, Nico Hulkenberg he managed to catch up after a few corners:
“It was an intense day, I'm happy and pleasantly surprised. The car was better than yesterday, I had some good battles with Fernando and Esteban, I'm sure it was a great sight to see. I have a lot of confidence for the Monza race".
Joyon Palmer had to serve a penalty which negatively affected his result:
“The race could have gone better, we knew that with the penalty we would have had to start with used tires and this penalized us because the others had new sets. Despite this, I made a good start and the car improved after we changed the tyres. I had some good fights but, starting seventh, the points would have been within our reach.".
