F1 | Renault, Hulkenberg: “Fantastic qualifying”

Seventh and tenth position for Nico Hulkenberg and Jolyon Palmer in qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix, third round of the 2017 Formula One World Championship. The German confirmed his excellent performance on Friday, reaching Q3 for the second time this season. Superlative performance also for Jolyon Palmer as the Englishman managed to reach the third qualifying round for the first time in his career, finishing in tenth place

Here are the words of Nico Hulkenberg: “Along with 'Brazil 2010' it was one of the best qualifications of my career. It's a difficult track and it's not easy to come up with the perfect lap, but today we really did our best. The team did a great job all weekend and I'm quite happy about that. I don't want to make predictions about the race because anything can really happen. We hope to get some points to celebrate Easter in the best possible way."

Here are the words of Jolyon Palmer: “It was undoubtedly my best qualifying. First time in Q3 and a whole hour of fighting, great. Wonderful feeling if we consider the difficulties of this weekend. We did our utmost to get 100% out of the car and the results were abundantly clear. We have a big chance tomorrow and we're going to make the most of it."
